Our Farm

We are a recreational alpaca farm in beautiful Eastern North Carolina. Our family of animals includes alpacas, miniature horses, chickens, peacocks, guinea hens, cats, dogs, and even a donkey. 

With acres of rich southern soil and Carolina blue sky, we take pride in our southern setting, and we want others to enjoy it as much as we do. That's why we've made Bright Star Farm available for everything from school field trips to day retreats for the weary at heart.

Our Animals

Though we started with a few cats, a couple of dogs, and one sweet miniature horse named Twink, we now have over sixty animals, including alpacas, chickens, rabbits, peacocks, guinea hens, ducks, standard horses, mini horses, a goat, and even Eeyore, our resident donkey. 

Little ones, parents, and even the young-only-at-heart come alive in the presence of animals. Our alpacas, horses, cats, birds, and other critters inspire, entertain, and provide endless companionship. We love our animals, and everyone who visits seems to love them, too!

Our Greenhouse

Our greenhouse is finally  up and running! We now have a fully-functioning greenhouse that is equipped to grow all kinds of healing herbs, fresh vegetables, and beautiful plants and flowers.

We appreciate the value of sustainability, self-reliance, and healthy eating for a well-balanced life, and we thrive on natural beauty, too. Depending on the season, we offer a variety of delicious herbs, potted plants, and decorative hanging baskets for sale. We want to help you make your world a little bit more beautiful.

Our Products

From this season's cutest boot toppers and arm warmers to cozy scarves, felted soaps, nesting balls, and herbal beauty products, we're excited to use our home-grown resources at Bright Star Farm (think herbs from our very own greenhouse and organic alpaca fiber) to create and sell unique, hand-crafted goods.

Our Services

We offer speech therapy, essential oils classes, and creative writing workshops, among other services. Our animal-assisted therapy brings positive responses out of children with speech and language disorders and developmental delays. Want to find out more?

Likewise, as an official Young Living Essential Oils distributor, we provide classes on how to use oils in your everyday life, as well as other creative crafting and writing workshops that take place throughout the year.
