Speech Therapy at Bright Star Farm
Bright Star Farm Therapy Center is owned and operated by Connie Carlton, MA, Ed., MS, CCC-SLP. Connie works with children (any age from birth through adolescence) and their families to provide speech therapy, equipping children with necessary experiences to improve language skills. The goal is to provide on-site therapeutic services to children in a natural farm setting, often using animal-assisted therapy.
Animal-Assisted Therapy:
Animal-assisted therapy (AAT), which involves pairing children with animals in a treatment setting, is an innovative approach to therapy that results in physical, mental, and educational benefits. Children often respond to animals positively, and AAT often leads to remarkable results when used with more conventional forms of therapy. Improvement in motor skills, verbal interactions, attention skills and vocabulary are among the many benefits of AAT.
Who We Help:
Bright Star Farm assists children and youth affected by a number of disorders, including speech and language disorders, developmental delays, Autism and Aspergers, cerebral palsy, ADD/ADHD, birth defects, and learning disabilities.
For Professionals:
